A Dream Come True

Mar 21, 2018

Hospice patient Wade Carter wanted to do one thing before he died. Somehow, some way, he wanted to thank his family for all they’ve meant to him through the years and their many kindnesses to him. A newcomer to Frederick County, Wade was used to seeing his extended family every year at family reunions in Virginia. His declining health made it impossible for him to travel this year—and so, with a little help, his family came to him.

With assistance from the Dream Foundation and Hospice of Frederick County, Wade was the guest of honor at his family reunion. Wade was thrilled to see 100 of his relatives, most of whom traveled five hours for this grand event.

It was a dream come true for Wade and a day to remember for his entire family.
