General Grief Support Group - DAY AND EVENING
1st and 3rd Thursdays, 2-3:30 pm
2nd and 4th Thursdays, 5-6:30 pm (no group November 23rd)

This support group is an open-ended (ongoing) group designed to provide support to individuals who have experienced the death of a loved one. Being with individuals who have had similar experiences and feelings allows sharing and healing to take place, and this group provides a safe place where group members can share their story and express their grief.
This is a drop in group; no need to pre-register

Spousal/Partner Loss Socials - EVENING
3rd Wednesday of each month, 5:30-6:30 pm
These monthly get-togethers are designed for individuals who have experienced the death of a spouse/partner and are looking to connect with others who have gone through a similar situation. There will be no agenda or educational aspect to these gatherings, but they will instead serve as a way for individuals to meet and find peer support. Light refreshments will be provided.
Registration is not required. Socials will be held outdoors, weather permitting.
Please use the WEST entrance (on the right side of the building) for this event. There is a large parking lot and a long, covered walkway leading to the entrance.

The Bucket List Book Club
Last Sunday of every month, 2-4 pm
As you can tell by the title, this is not your usual book club! Each month, we will explore issues surrounding death AND life through a variety of books and other media. And no, you don’t have to read the titles to attend! Just come with an open mind and an interest in exploring how to live your best life. This program is in partnership with Frederick County Public Libraries and Curious Iguana.
RSVPs requested, but not required. Rm A-136

Dementia/Alzheimer's Loss Support Group for the Caregiver
Wednesdays, September 6th-October 11th, 5:30-7 p.m.
This 6-week support group is designed for caregivers who have experienced the loss of a loved one due to Dementia or Alzheimer’s. We acknowledge that caregiving for a loved one with dementia presents many distinct challenges that continue to show up in grief. During this group, we will explore and share the issues specific to the grief of Dementia/Alzheimer’s caregivers, as well as provide understanding and validation of feelings, and explore what life looks like, or can look like, after caregiving. Once this group begins, it is closed to new members.
Please register for this group by August 30th.
This group is now full. Please call 240-566-3030 or email griefsupport@frederick.health to be put on a waiting list.
