Living in the Moment

Most people would never guess that Adele Carey was 90 years old when this photo was taken.

As a Hospice patient, Adele resided at Somerford Assisted Living and enjoyed living life to its fullest. Her good friend, Sandy Thompson, and family members organized a surprise limousine ride to a local restaurant to celebrate Adele’s 90th birthday.

It was Adele’s first ride in a limousine, and she was completely surprised! She enjoyed the entire event—from the red carpet to the champagne to the laughs with her dear friends.

Adele said she was blessed by the wonderful gift her friends gave her.
